About
A little about me.
Yoga is not just a practice which supports us in society, but rather an innate knowledge that transforms our lives for the better while we live in the society.
Yoga has been part of my life since I was a child, being born and brought up in the land of Yoga in a well versed spiritual and cultural family. I started teaching yoga in 1990 having opened my own successful school in Assam, India. The school was frequented by famous personalities who sought a place of calm, purity and yoga.
I moved to the United Kingdom 25 years ago having already trained under Dr HR Nagendra at the yoga university Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (SSVYASA) in Bangalore, India and the Bihar school of yoga in India in Bihar, India. I had great dreams of bringing yoga in this pure form to the UK, helping, teaching and learning together in the process.
With over 30 years of experience in teaching yoga my teaching thus far has primarily focused on teaching yoga in popular health clubs such as Holmes place, Virgin, Nuffield health club and alike. I have also valued offering private one to one sessions marvelling the progress my clients have made over time.
I create a natural rhythm and flow to help one’s journey to release pain at the deepest level and experience a sense of healing, inner peace, calm and tranquillity. The powerful ancient shlokas taught to me by my venerable teachers are present in every yoga session providing an enchanting and gentle presence.
It is now a ripe time for me to come out into world of social media and internet. To offer yoga to a much wider audience is an ever more passion of mine.
Having obtained a degree in biochemistry, I took up yoga as a lifestyle. In addition, I took on additional qualifications along the way. With qualifications in Thai Yoga Massage and Pranic healing I am able to offer a holistic approach to my teaching.
Life is an ongoing learning process. Educating oneself for the betterment of society is truly the way forward for a content, balanced and yogic life.
Do come and join in our yoga journey. All are welcome.
